Silver lacquer incense box with daikoku

A rectangular silver lacquer kōbako (incense box) decorated in gold, silver and black taka-maki-e with the design of Daikoku having a smoke, sitting on a pounding pestle at a rural house, a single mouse appearing on the edge of round window, the design continues around four sides, depicting a treasure sack and a magic mallet on a oxidized silver ground with charcoal powder applied unevenly for effect. The interior of the same silver lacquer with charcoal powder. The bamboo window frame engraved in katakiri-bori.
Signed on the base Zeshin in scratched characters
