A fine bronze okimono of a red-crowned Japanese crane (tanchō-zuru, grus japonensis) climbing up the costal rock with its vibrant wings widely spreading, the serious eyes that seem to be trying to catch prey and the feathers and legs naturalistically carved. The eyes in gilt and shakudō detail
